Our Hamilton crew pictured below was busy working on three roof sections at the TD Bank totaling 314 squares. The roofs were located 30 storeys from the ground level. Crews removed the BUR roof to expose 2 ply vapor- barrier. They reused the existing rock and installed new base and cap sheet in the inverted system, new 2” XPS insulation and drainage mat, new filter fabric and they reused existing ballast.

From the very beginning of the project, exceptional coordination with Colliers was required. Our crew ensured all the safety parameters where followed from PPE to protecting the interior space of the building on the floor we accessed to get to the roof. We rolled down carpet approximately 80’ from the elevator to the roof access door. We had Garlock guardrails system at the edge of the roof, tool lanyards, and hard-hat lanyards. We also had the portable toilet on the roof for the crew. We handled materials every two weeks bringing down garbage and hoisting materials up on Saturday’s and Sunday’s of the work week. We needed street closure permits to allow access to the 150-ton crane. The crew did an exceptional job in ensuring the production and safety goals were met. We now look forward to the spring section of the roof starting soon!
