This week at the Montréal’s Olympic Stadium, a team composed of five rope access technicians (three of them glaziers) and two glaziers inside the building, replaced a 492lb (223kg) broken sealed unit glass at 339 ft (103m) up, using a cart rolling on the glass façade. The method, approved and designed by an engineer, consisted of a cart being pulled and lowered by a hoist at the top of the tower and another hoist attached to two vehicles at the base of the tower. Site coordinator and Flynn-Vitreco safety were present and involved in this highly specialized work. Great job and professionalism by all involved.
