Luis Soares, A Metals Foreman with Flynn Toronto, was busy working on the Ryerson Student Learning Centre, where safety, as always, is our top priority. At 6:15 a.m., Luis heard a woman screaming for help. He looked up and realized she was stranded on the roof the in front of the building that him and his crew were working on. He immediately called 911 and requested a rescue team. The situation is currently under investigation by the Toronto Police, but the woman was rescued by the Fire Department bringing a happy ending to a very serious situation. Luis’s quick actions have earned him the Life Saver Award – an award that recognizes an individual who performs a life-saving activity to anyone in distress. Great job, Luis!
